By accessing or using AskCV (the “Service”), available at https://askcv.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by AskCV LLC, a California limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
AskCV is a career intelligence platform delivered as software-as-a-service. It is not a job-search aggregator or a resume builder. The Service provides:
/support for help and bug reports.You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@askcv.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
The Service offers three tiers — Free, Plus ($20/month), and Premium ($50/month) — with varying feature access and included AI credits as described on our pricing page. Legacy subscribers on the retired “Pro” tier continue to receive Plus-equivalent access at their grandfathered price.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Invoices and payment records are managed through the Stripe Customer Portal at /billing.
Paid tiers include a monthly allotment of AI credits (Plus: $20; Premium: $50) that are consumed as you use AI features. Each AI operation is metered at the provider's pass-through cost plus a small markup. If you exhaust your included credits before the billing cycle ends, AI features pause until the next cycle, or you may enable pay-as-you-go overage from your billing settings. Non-AI functionality (your published resume, links, existing knowledge, contacts) remains available regardless of credit balance. Included credits do not roll over between cycles.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through /billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain paid access until then. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods or unused credits, except where required by law.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice delivered via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before the effective date.
Prices do not include applicable sales, use, or value-added taxes, which will be added at checkout where required.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service (“User Content”), including resume data, profile information, and knowledge base entries.
By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
Your User Content may be processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) routed through the Vercel AI Gateway to generate chatbot responses, coaching feedback, analysis, and voice transcriptions. We do not use your content to train AI models and we contractually require providers to honour API-tier (not consumer) terms. AI provider data processing is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies, which are linked in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and share it.

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding (excluding User Content), is owned by AskCV LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
AI-generated responses — including chat replies, coaching feedback, STAR scores, fit analyses, cover letters, and support assistant answers — are provided “as is” and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or fabricated details (“hallucinations”). The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
AI responses do not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, employment, immigration, or tax advice. You should seek qualified professional counsel before making any decision that has legal, financial, or career consequences.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any information generated by the AI before relying on it. In particular, you are responsible for the accuracy of any resume, cover letter, or message you publish or send to a third party, even when the underlying text was AI-assisted.
The AI support assistant's Account agent can perform limited actions on your behalf (e.g. updating a setting) after receiving explicit confirmation from you. You are responsible for the consequences of confirming an action, and you agree that confirmations transmitted through your authenticated session are binding.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskCV LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AskCV LLC, its members, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will make your User Content available for export for 30 days after termination, after which it may be permanently deleted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of JAMS, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property claims.
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AskCV LLC regarding the Service.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights freely.
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms on the Service. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days' notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
